                                     Spent moment with the
                                         'Magic of the Horse'

TV presenter for Sky also Horse and Country,   polo player and leader of the Knights of Middle England Karl Ude-Martinez joined us for the first time, looking very dashing in his DJ for the first half, he then had to present the second half in his knights outfit as there wasn't time for him to change!

Karl Ude-Martinez read 'The Ode to Equines' as the  performance opened with  Two Knights coming in a head of Serena Palmer with Apache, Rebecca Horvath Chieftain, Helen Elcome with Aldo and Carol Travell with Tintin the Donkey,

THE MINI MARVELS WITH THEIR INTERPRETATION OF RIVERDANCE!

For over 10 years the Mini Marvels have toured the country showing that little horses can  be more than just mobile lawnmowers! Yet again they thrilled  the crowd and got them going, they are the only miniature horse team in the world doing Riverdance! Featuring Warrior & Tanya, Goliath & Laura Tugwell, , Apache & Serena Palmer, Chieftain & Rebecca Horvath, Bambini & Sadie Webb,  Spartacus came out of retirement for this show and it was Heather  Richardsons first ever performance with the Minis!

                                               JUST THE TWO OF US'

International Para riders Emma Kent riding  her own  ‘Gentle’ was joined again by Erin Orford and  Diana Barleys ‘Nirvana’ .This was a tribute to the Para Horse, last year they brought the house down,  again they proved whatever your ability horses can take you somewhere, both the girls are aiming for London 2012 Olympics.

                                  ' DANCING FEET'

What  can seven vaulters do with 1 horse called Go for Gold? Well Julie Newell and her brilliant team Balance showed the audience just what was possible! Featuring Megan Bignell, Sarah Reid, Emma Runge, Stephanie Hunter, Sara Shortland, Lydia Barham and Paige Brown. This an ideal way for riders to develop balance and confidence, both in the horse and those they are working with.

                              'THE FLUFFIES POLO CHALLENGE'

If you thought only adults played polo,  these youngsters set to and really got the crowd going! The teams were from  from The Old Surrey and Burstow Pony Club,  made up of 11 year olds Danielle Thorpe  riding Malibu, Georgia Addison riding Tammy, Emily Collins riding Delboy, Harry Hickmet riding Warrior and the 10 years olds Terence Lent riding Ultima,  and Alice Walsh riding Freddie. This game was played under grass rules, the umpire was Paul Addison riding Fosforito.  Karl gave  a running commentry, WHOW did he get carried away when  a goal was scored!!

                                 A STEP BACK IN TIME

We welcomed for the first time From The Suffolk Punch Trust,  Charlie 18 yrs old driven by Tracey Pettit, joined by Eric 15 years  old and driven by Bruce Smith. These horses are  now one of the rare breeds in the  horse world.

THE FIRST RIDING LESSON (WITH A DIFFERENCE)

As Jacque couldn't take part in the MOTH,Tanya and Phil Baker put together  impromptu 'act'. A mobile phone played a big part in this piece with hilarious results  It was a real 'how not to do it, make sure your instructor is dressed properly for the part and doesn't have their mobile phone glued to their ear!!

Before the  MOTH started and during the Interval  we sold raffle  tickets  in aid of

                                          DRIVING WIZARDRY

The worlds  top lady driver  Karen  Basset made her first appearance at the MOTH with her team  - the audience were on the edge  of their  seats and  amazed at the control  and the way the horses reacted to her signals. With her team Starlet 7, Amabile, Leonardo 341 and Caesar  together they presented the spectacular side of four- in- hand carriage driving, including dressage, obstacles, and cone driving.

Bringing more action and led  by Karl Ude-Martinez
The Knights of Middle England with Paul Ellis Smith,
Edward Long,
Robert Plester
Phil Baker and
David Baker with their gallant steeds Star, Ali, Tiffany, Tara, Monikina and Revlon some of these are retrained racehorses, not forgetting the Squires Duncan Samuel, Bruce Crawford, Sophie Wizard Pointer, Shani Townsend, Eddie Wilson, Heidi Leach and Pete Hobman.  This  radical new born medieval jousting team brought the "Knights of Old" at full tilt into the 21st century  and set the audience alight!!!

                                 THE FINALE!

Everyone came back into the arena to say  'goodbye’ on their horses  behalf, as there are 40 horses appearing & they have had a busy day, we  left them in their stables with a nice hay-net, except Tanya and  Karl who came back in on their horses - it was lovely that the audience waited until the Finale had finished before they started leaving their seating!
