Right now l am flat out putting adverts into magazines and sending out Press Release, plus posters and flyers to all the B.H.S. riding schools and Clubs.

Not only that but all my contacts are doing a round robin with emails, sending the MOTH web link so everyone can check out the show. Quite simply l do not have the budget of HOYS or OLYMPIA so l need all the help l can get and l do not mind asking for it! Plus as the MOTH is for everyone not just horsey folk we need to get outside our world with the PR, any ideas?

We are also doing direct drops taking the poster and flyers into shops, feedstores garden centres, cafes infact  anywhere that will have them. l even stopped off when l was driving past a dry cleaners to ask if they would let me put up a poster and they said 'yes'.

         The Magic of the Horse® is Galloping to Braintree!

In these days of doom and gloom there is a bright star shining, despite not reaching the final of BBC’s Dragons Den former Olympic Team member Tanya Larrigan is determined to bring her production to the people. With a cast of 40 horses and featuring Britain’s top drivers, riders and others the team are coming together for ‘The Magic of the Horse®’ and presenting a unique equestrian variety performance in Towerlands, Braintree Essex!

 After last years success when the show was premiered the word is spreading, Tanya said ’we have had a fantastic response, we even have a 92 year old gentleman coming to see us, tickets started selling back in September and people are travelling up to three hours to see the show. We are quite a cottage industry at home in Kent as we have kept all the work like doing the PR and handling the ticket sales at home in order to keep costs down. So after doing the horses l start printing off the orders and mum puts them all together and gets them down to our local village post office, at times they have even helped to put the stamps on if we are running late!’

From Miniature horses up to the majestic Suffolk Punch featuring in 12 very different displays, producer Tanya Larrigan said ‘my aim is to open up our world of horses through entertainment showing what they can do to those who may not normally see them but experienced horse people will appreciate what they are watching'.

With an action packed production from comedy to classical, including Sky TV’s dashing presenter Karl Ude-Martinez from Warwick who is leading his Knights of Middle England into the arena with a show of jousting in the 21st century, Karl will have to do a quick change as he is also the presenter for the evening, world champion lady driver Karen Basset will get the audience sitting on the edge of their seats with her four in hand driving program, the OS & B pony club present the Fluffies polo challenge, leading Para riders Emma Kent and Erin Orford pair up for Just the Two of Us, Tanya’s superstars The Mini Marvels® miniature horse team with their interpretation of Riverdance always brings the house down and meet Jacque the Educated Horse who does everything Tanya asks or does he? Paul & Bobbi Hayler from Essex are Dancing in the Moonlight and the Warwick vaulting team show what they can do with one horse! A Step Back in Time shows two rare majestic horses from The Suffolk Punch Trust logging and a parade of carriages including a Donkey feature in Time Goes By, Tanya presents the magical stallion Idolo in a special scene of Grand Prix High School with a difference, the finale rounds off the performance. This is The Magic of the Horse® a Christmas Spectacular. 

Tanya does much to promote animal welfare and on this occasion there is a raffle with 100% of the proceeds going to The Brooke Animal Hospital, featuring fantastic prizes such as Become a Knight for the Day with Karl and the Knights of Middle England or win a day with Tanya and her Mini Marvels® with more on offer at the event.  

For festive shopping, the Oakleigh Food and Crafts Christmas Fair is open both days, along with Father Christmas and his Elf helper in the grotto! All under the same roof in the indoor venue with a cafeteria and bar. With easy access for all and no car parking charges it really will be a treat to visit The Magic of the Horse® with music, lighting and arena dressing this is real family entertainment! and a unique  equestrian variety performance for all ages.
